Tom -

I believe that Prestone makes a flushing kits that  installs in the heater
hose and you connect the hose to this fitting.   I have just removed either
the lower radiator hose or the fitting on the lower side of the block "just
above the oil pan and collected the water into a bucket.  Removing the lower
block fitting seems to pull more sediment from around the cylinder walls.
