NO. You will need the V-8 side mount kits for engine and a trans that mounts
on tail at x-member you have to make and may have to remove or modify the
existing x-over that the orig bellhouse sits on. It's pretty much the same
as V-8 install. Problem is the staggered motor mounts. On a 250, basically
same engine, mounts aren't staggered and easier to use adapter mounts. Any
trans that fits a small-block V-8 will also bolt to sixes from 63 up.
Powerglide was most used. You should be able to use an S-10 manual from V-6
engine only. That way shifter is close to where needed in cab. Some use
camaro or Mustang trannies with more work.
