Does anyone have recommendations for windshield pit repair kits? Or
should I pay a professional to fix the 20-40 new pits in my month-old,
uninsured windshield?

According to the Weather Channel, what I just drove through on my way home
from Denver was head-on gusts of up to 65 mph, which when added to my
'54's speed of about 45 mph, means that the pebbles flying at my
windshield and just-waxed hood were doing about 110. My only consolation
(okay, it's a big consolation) is that when the 65 mph gusts were coming
at me as crosswinds, I still had complete control of my truck. Hooray for
the curviness and sturdiness of the Advanced Design.

"There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a
sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road.
But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still
get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be
perplexed, though you still get the same soaking. This understanding
extends to everything." -Yamamoto Tsunetomo
