Bob,

In the October 2000 issue of 'Classic Trucks' on page 10, there is an 
article about putting a late model automatic (700-R4) behind an AD straight 
six.  John Beck used a Langdon No. 56-3000 adapter kit and can be used on 
Chevrolet 216, 235, 261 and GMCs.  Goto www.stoveboltengineco.com to see the 
kit.  I hope that this helps.
