I paid $150 for a '57 235 about six months ago. It was running and is in
good condition and came with starter, bellhousing, generator, distributor,
intake, carb, and exhaust. Three speeds go for about $50.

I am going the total rodstoration on my 54, but I do have a guy interested
in
buying my original 235 and 3-speed transmission. Both were in great running
condition when I parked the truck, but could use a rebuild I'm sure. I
wanted
to get rid of them anyway, so my question is this: What is a fair asking
price
for each? Of course I want to get the most for them I can, but I want to be
fair and reasonable at the same time, since I am not going to use them.
Anyone
have any ideas? Thanks for your help.
