Hi Guys-
Been working on my new chassis all day, and have hit a real roadblock.
Maybe one of you can spot the dumb mistake I hope I'm making...

I am attempting to install a Big (GM) brake kit for Mustang 2. I am using:

Conversion kit (to big brakes) from Speedway
New Rotors from Speedway
New Calipers from Speedway
New Bearings/Seals from Speedway
OEM (early MustangII) spindles.

My problem is illustrated in this on-line photo:

This is the right side of my chassis from the top. As you can see at "A", I
have selected the bracket which places the caliper most outboard. I have
way too much space at "B", and not nearly enough space at "C". I cannot
even get the outboard brake pad in.

A close-up picture of my spindle (the other side, bare- except for the
inboard bearing) is here:

I am quite certain that my rotor is fully seated on the spindle.

Am I simply attempting to assemble this incorrectly? I must admit I have
tried several different ways, but this seems to be the only one that makes
sense...

Any ideas? I've got this sinking feeling that I might have to buy new
(later MustangII) spindles ;-(.

Ryan Border.
