[oletrucks] Electronic transmission w/ mechanical speedo

How can I get the original speedometer to work with an electronic 
transmission (4L60E)?  I thought I could swap out the parts in the 4L60E 
with a 700R4's mechanical speedo drive, but since I'm also using an LT1, the 
computer needs to know the speed readout from the transmission.  Can a shop 
redo the insides and convert it to electronic?  How much does that go for?
