The intakes for Vortecs have the bolts going straight down and not at ang=
le
like old engins. They wont work on old engines. I think the heads will
change to old if you have new intake to go with.=0D

I'm still trying to find the right engine for my '50, but I know that I=0D
want a 350 and I'd like it to have Vortec heads. I've recently come=0D
across a set of freshly machined Vortec heads from a 1988 Chevy truck.=0D
My question is, if I get the heads before I get a block, is there=0D
anything that I have to be aware of or watch out for? Are there certain=0D
years to which I will have to limit my search, or will the Vortec heads=0D
fit on any 350 block? Also, are there any issues regarding intake=0D
manifolds for these heads?=0D
=0D
Thanks for the guidance,=0D
