Hi again
Thanks for all the help I've received so far... Unfortunately, I'm trying
to get a cadillac 429 primed. The oilpump shaft is a wierd D-Shaped thing.
So I need a D-shaped tube to fit over the shaft.
I had heard that modern dealers usually have a tool that screws into the
oil sending unit hole and can pump oil into the system from there.
Is anyone on the list familiar with this?

So what are the potential ramifications of NOT priming the oil system on
my initial start up? I made sure to pack the oil pump. Has anyone just
dumped oil in a fresh motor andstarted it up?? I'm pretty scared to try
this.
Thanks again for any input.
