Actually, it was worse than that. Mr. Murphy subscribed to the list as a
method to get email addresses. I have kicked him off, and reported his
actions to the AOL postmaster and the Attorney General.
To anyone living in the state of Washington, you have a rather large hammer
to smack with: the state of Washington has a law that allows senders of
Spam and UCE (Undesired Commercial Email) to be fined up to $500 for each
message a state resident receives.
Long timers on this list might remember that I fully support the efforts of
cauce.org and their work to obliterate Spammers and UCE. To find that this
individual has managed to use the list I maintain to cull addresses for his
nefarious activities has not brightened my day.
