I thought I had sent you a copy of the Canadian Chevy/GMC truck model
decoder
sheet and that you had put it on your web site. I just checked the site and
could not find it.
Anyway, I've attached both the pages again below.
The "TV53680" from below doesn't well fit into the info from page 5 of
the
Truck Parts Catalogue, however that page only shows 55 and 56 models, so maybe
the serial number decoder changed in 57.
According to the Canadian Chevrolet/GMC 1955-57 Truck Parts Catalogue
that
these pages come from Canadian GMC V8s are Chevy V8 for the smaller models (up
to 1.5 ton) and Buick 322 cubic inch V8s for the larger trucks.
I'll check the Parts Catalogue tonight to see if any 4 barrel carbs are
listed.
The larger US GMC trucks in at least 1957 offered an 370 cubic Olds
engine as
an option while the smaller GMC trucks used Pontiac-based V8s. The Olds
engine did have a 4 barrel carb.

Curios also is a 4 barrel came as original equipment on this V8.
