This is not really an Old Truck subject, but several years ago it was 
determined we would have fewer collisions if headlights were on in the 
daytime.  Some manufacturers, like GM, made it happen but I still see
many 
new cars without daytime lights and have looked at some new cars without

automatic lights.  What gives?  Is the mandatory date not here yet?
Does 
someone know what the law says?
