I understood it was Chevrolet that offered the Restoration info. I had not
heard that it was available also for GMCs. Since I own two Chevys and a GMC
I'd love to learn the information was also available for the GMC...

Good afternoon Truckers,

I've now tried unsuccessfully three times to get the "Restoration Kit"
for my 1958 GMC truck. I called the number (800 222-1020)a lister
posted (GMC/Chevrolet Headquarters I guess) and selected option 3 to
talk to someone. While she was nice, she couldn't find my truck after
putting me on hold for an extended period of time. Finally, she just
gave me another number to call. I called that number, but it was an
automated order line for a restoration parts catalog that costs $10.
...Not what I wanted. I called the main number again and selected #2
for catalogs. This time, another nice lady spoke with me and told me
that "a whole new division takes care of that now" and I'll transfer
you, but here's the number. Transfer.on hold for 7 minutes to silence,
I hang up. I try directly calling the number she gave me
(877-446-7378). The first time it was "out of service," the second time
it just rang forever and no one answered.

I'm frustrated over what I thought would be a simple process. Does
anyone have a better/newer number to call?
