I asked that same question of a local shop recently. Here is his response:

==========

    No problemo on the sub frame. To save money steam clean everything as
much as possible, soak it down with a product from Shucks called STEAM (its
in the engine degreaser section) 20 min prior to pressure washing. I always
bid these the same way, $300 to $900 depending on how much you want me to do
and the mismatches I have to deal with. Remember when you read an article
in a magazine they always say they did it in an afternoon. Yeah! Right!
Another way to help would be to forward me any articles you can find on
doing the swap. They always mention some particular trick to getting around
some technical difficulty. No sense reinventing the wheel.
Sometimes it takes longer to get the steering hooked up than anything else.
Will you be using the pickup column or the Monte Carlo column?. Either way
plan on a days labor or more there as well plus a couple of steering column
U joints, they always seem to come out with some angle on them and the stock
flex, (rag joint) coupler can't handle it. I have the wiring diagram for
the newer column to hook up your turn signals and brake lights. Or you can
even get a GM column for cruise control, if that's in the future.
One more thing, does the pickup have the pedals through the floor or coming
down from under the dash. Under dash is easier.

============

I'm not confident about doing the alignment and welding, but expect to deal
with the steering and pedals myself. I also expect to deal with remounting
the front sheetmetal. So I expect to keep it in the $300 neighborhood. My
experience with this guy is that something will cost more than we talked
about, but probably not much....

What should I expect to pay a fabricator in terms of hours and dollars to
install a Camaro clip on an AD frame ??

let's assume the Camaro is running (all assemblied)....the AD is all
disassembled (bare frame)...just wondering what's reasonable....what's your
experience??
