The engine number looked familiar so I did a little looking to see if I
could find it. I found the following web site, which leads to the following
decoding.

http://www.novaresource.org/codes.htm

1 Chevrolet
7 67 or 77
C Southgate, CA (where the car was assembled.)

T Tonawanda, NY (where the motor was made)
03 March
22 22nd...
CPM 305cid 2V

Once I saw what the motor is I realized its the same designation as one I
have...

I found these numbers stamped on the front passenger side of my SBC V-8.

Can anyone decode them?

T0322CPM
17C16178

I have not been able to see the casting number, yet...

Thanks,
Tim
