As some might remember, I was asking for advice on my
55 that was stumbling badly both at lower and higher
RPM's.....heck pretty much everywhere. I had been
focusing on the ignition system, since I knew it had a tune
up recently by someone that didn't know what they
were doing, and did find some stuff wrong and fixed it,
but tried to look elsewhere.

Today I took apart the carb to see if there was any
water or junk in the float area. Found that the carb
was rebuilt no TOO long ago....gaskets were relatively
fresh, and accel pump diaghram was in OK shape,
although a little rotted. I cleaned out the old gas that
was in it (haven't even started it in a couple months) and
sprayed down the holes here and there just for extra
points, and now it runs great! I don't think there was
anything in it other than bad gas, but that couldn't have
been the problem before because (back then) I had
filled up the tank with fresh gas and was running it more
often. Now its been a while since then, but either way,
its running great.

So now I think I'm ready to sell it. I'll put it in
the paper in the next couple weeks, after I get back
from vacation. I know I've already mentioned it here,
but I'll do so again. $1000, Seattle WA. Mostly stock
with a decent amount of cancer. If you need more info,
drop me a line.

Thanks guys for the help.
