58 Cab mounts
I have the front clip & bed off of my 58 3100. The motor is out, front axle
gone and both trans & engine x-members cut out. Here in lies my problem;
without the trans x-member, looking at the front cab mounts, they appear to
be twisting the frame and sagging. It is very small twist but the rivets on
top of the frame, holding the body mount bracket, is less than 1/8 inch from
floor of the truck. Has anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations? I
will be boxing the frame this weekend in preparation of the MustII IFS. So
far the body is relatively rust free, what is there is minor.
