I don't belive Chevy had tachs for  years. GMC did in the bigger trucks.
There is no place in dash for one on Chevy and the GMC dashes looked like
gauges you could buy in stores and put in. Why not any modern tach that
attaches to the steering column or under dash or even on top of dash (puke!)
??  Would think Jegs or other race part catalogs have those. You would need
to be 12volt, none for six that I know of. If you wanted mechanical off the
distributor.....Good Luck!
  These trucks don't NEED tachs, just go by "ear" and they sure aren't race
trucks anyway.
