As I'll be bringing my TF Suburban on line in the next year, I was wondering
about the
sufficiency and safety of the original keyway slots that the rear two seats
lock into.
(Since the front seat(s) bolt in, I'm only worried about how to make decent
seat belts
work. The keyways are just metal recessed into plywood, correct, and held with
a
variation of stove bolt? Or do they go all the way thru to a structural member
underneath? What kind of forces can they hold? I've seriously been
considering that the
attachment should be reworked. I started out thinking about how to get
adequate seat
belts in there for my wife and toddler twins, but quickly realized that seat
belts
aren't much good if the seats themselves won't stay put. I prefer to keep as
stock an
appearance as possible so don't want to hack into it too badly or go with
modern seats.

Any experience or suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark Noakes
