Hello:

I have been watching this list for a while, great information. I am
working on my grandfather's 1950 3600. Having spent it's life in New
Hampshire and Vermont, the body has a great deal of rot. I am very
anxious to save the original body if I can. I was wondering if anyone
had any experience with the various patch panels offered by Jim
Carter, Golden State Parts or Obs Chevy trucks. The body on this
truck will need almost everyone they offer, floorpans, firewall,
corners etc. Should I give up and look for a replacement cab or do
these panels work?.

Is there a list of the various RPO's. This truck has a spotting light
on the drivers side. Growing up, I always thought it was very cool.
I am wondering if it came from the factory that way.

Lastly and just for fun, I haven't seen too much discussion on the
history behind these trucks, what they were actually used for. Is
there any interest there? From what I have learned about this truck
it started out in New Hampshire as a delivery truck for a fellow who
had a refrigeration business. I can still make out his business name
on the back of the cab. From there it went to Bradford Vt, not really
sure why. And finally my grandfather bought it. I understand he used
it to haul wholesale maple syrup to Newport Vermont. Anyway, thought
I would throw that in just for grins.
