I've finally started the body work on my 51, filling firewall holes and such.
Can anyone give some good/bad on patch panel venders? I mainly need underside,
inner side wall, and forward mount brackets.
A friend of mine gave me a mid eighties GM pick up steering column. If I
remember right I need about a 30 inch long column, which makes this one too
long I think. Are there any articles or advice on shortening columns, and is it
easily feasable to do?
I hope to get the 4 point rear and MII for the front this comming spring. The
complete powertrain is gone, but I left the front end on for placemement of the
MII. How and may I mark the frame for new suspension positioning and go ahead
and remove my straight axle and springs. I have read of members looking for
front axle items and I've not responded for fear of not know where to place my
new front end without putting fenders back on etc. I also have front/rear shock
mounts, spring perches, etc. if anyone needs these items ping me.
I look forward to advice and thoughts. This girl's been in my garage and
basement now for a year and half, our daughter and grand daughters (now 2),
moved out last week for a try at life on their own (again) and I hope I will
now have time to play. Of course she only moved 15 minutes away.... I already
miss peanutbutter toast and chocolate milk with the earlybirds on the back
porch, sigh.
