I saw one like that at Puyallip Goodguys a couple years ago. I've been
thinking about using a 1-ton panel to create a bed for a dually pickup, but
haven't found a panel I'd be willing to cut up yet...

I attended a car show Sunday in Spring Texas. Very few TF or AD trucks
out of the 400+ entries, but I did run across a unique AD that I took
some pictures of. Wayne was kind enough to temporarily post them on his
web site so I could share them with you.

The owner/builder (Kevin McAlister) wasn't around to answer questions,
but I had talked to him a couple of years ago at a Saturday night show.
The truck started life as a 48 1/2 ton. The rear of the cab was cut
off, extended and then re-attached. The bed is the bottom half of the
rear half (I guess that makes it the bottom rear quarter) of a Suburban
body. The tailgate is operational. The interior if grey leather.
Drive train is late model Chevrolet. For some reason the color looks
too pink in my pictures.

Just thought I'd share an unusual and very well done truck with the
list.

oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
