Greetings all! My 56 Stepside has the spare tire well on the fender.
Behind the tire mount plate is a rod that is bolted to the top rail of
the bed in between the two support rods welded to the tire mount plate.
The rod in the middle is about 8" long and is threaded on the end. The
rod points forward and runs along the same line as the bed rail. Does
anyone know what this rod is for???
