I hope you all had a great 4th of July. I nearly finished installing the
bedwood on my '54 Chevy 1/2 ton and have a technical question about the
two side boards and am not quite sure how to articulate it but will do my
best. Here goes:

The side panels of the bed each have a welded in rail which is similar to
the other independent rails that go between the boards. Do the two side
boards go all the way under these rails or only up to where the bolt goes
in? The main boards do not have holes drilled in them as they are spaced
just enough apart so that the bolt goes between them and the rail still
holds them. Also, do the side boards have a similar "notch" cut in them
so that the inside edge of the welded rail holds them in place the same
way as the main boards are held?

I hope these questions make sense to someone. Thanks.
