I don't know about '56 Chevy trucks, but '57 GMC 1/2 ton pickups were
available with '15, 16 and 17.5" wheels, all using the standard 6 lug
pattern.

Hi gorup, a real basic question - I just picked up a set of used wheels
with trim rings and hub caps that supposedly came off a 50 something
pickup - it wasn't until i got them home that I noticed that they are 16
inch and I have 15 inch on the truck - which is correct? ( I did count
the lugs to make sure there were 6). The shop manual is not much help,
it referes to both. My truck is a '56 1/2 ton (3200, or so it says)
