I've been having a irritating clutch chatter in my '57 3100 PU for a couple
years now. It is now corrected and I want to pass on what I did that
appears to eliminate the clutch chatter.
1. replaced the pilot oilite bushing
2. cleaned up the clutch fiber surface
3. roughed up the pressure plate surface
4. roughed up the flywheel surface
5. corrected worn clutch linkage
6. replaced a missing right rear engine mount bolt
I believe that all or some of these conditions were contributing to the
clutch chatter.
