I did the bed in my 55nd series a couple of weeks ago with plastic lumber
from
a local plastic lawn furniture place. I went with 4 boards purple and 4
boards
white. the planks where 6" wide and 3/4 thick. i alternated the boards 1
purple, 2 white, 2 purple, 2 white and finally 1 purple. most folks think
its
looks pretty sharp because the purple boards are pretty close in colour to
my
truck. i edged the planks 1/8 by 1/2 for the stainless strips.
