I just caught the last few minutes of the movie "Losing Chase." The
only recognizeable name I found in the credits was Beau Bridges, and I
don't recall ever seeing this movie advertised. It came out in 1996.

To get to the point, though, there's a Sprite in the movie! Judging
from the little bit that I've seen, the car seems to play a pretty
important role. It's a red square-bodied Sprite. Anyone know the
owner?

The movie is scheduled to be shown on Christmas day at 1:00 p.m. EST on
Showtime 2 (not regular Showtime). I bet you can find it in the video
stores, too.

Be forewarned, it's a "chick flick" with some sexual content. (No, it's
not one of *those* movies.) For a description, go to

I must repeat a few lines of dialogue, though. As one character gives
her Sprite to someone else, she says, "Here are the keys to the
Sprite.... Sprites were meant to be driven. After all, how would they
break down if they weren't driven?"

I think the author knew a little bit about Sprites. : )
