I said I tried it once and thought it was harder to install the trans and
then the motor.  You claimed that you had to beat shit out of the tunnel and
still couldn't get the 5-speed and motor in., so I suggested you might try
to install them separately. A lot of people do it that way.
I use a load rotor on my cherry picker and have it set up so I can R&R the
motor and trans as a unit in my bug-i's in 1.5hrs without removing the
bonnet ( that is from running car back to running car) without whatever work
is needed.  I have done this 5 times in the last year alone.
I have never tried to install the 5-speed trans, but am thinking about it.
