Just got my taxes back from a professional tax preparer. Good thing I went
over them, she had me paying full state income taxes in both Nebraska and
Michigan on both opur incomes.....and they call themselves professionals.
Their mistake would have cost me an extra $2300.00 and I'm sure the states
wouldn't have complained a bit (or ever questioned it). Now I have to file
late and accrue late filing penalties in both states. Cool, huh? I can
hardly wait until it's 8am in Nebraska!
My advice, never trust anyone when it comes to your money. Check those
prepared returns! But then, you might as well have done them yourself! I
know I will from now on.
