The word came back from the shop today, .040 over is not going to remove
the casting blemish in my block. I can exchange my pistons for .060
over, but I wonder if this will be safe and reliable in a street engine.
I want to get 60k reliable miles out of this motor. Will bore flexure be
an issue? The engine is not modified in any other respect (stock cam,
intake, exhaust, etc). I will have electronic ignition eventually.
If .060 over is not advised, I guess I'll be in search of a CHEAP, decent
quality block casting that has not gone more than .020 over.
Thanks,
