Lordluvvaduck, Gary, when I took my first 11,000 mile trip around the country, I
couldn't even AFFORD all of that stuff. And about my only tool was a Tijuana
Whitworth (crescent wrench). In all of the other cross-country odysseys that I
have taken, I didn't haul all that impedimentia along either. But then, I am
not
one of those folks who wears a belt AND suspenders at the same time . Have I
had
problems? You bet, and I had some frustrating experiences that make good yarns
these days. But that is the adventure of life. (Ya gotta remember, however,
that
I am also the guy who refuses to lock up the house when leaving on a trip!)

I fear that by painting such a picture of "necessary preparedness", a lot of
people would distrust our cars and be scared off from the fun of SECs (Small
English Cars).
