Yup!
Has you gauge been calibrated?
No, but the temp range is where it should be when not under load...190 or so
How tight is the belt on the blower?
Checked that, its not super tight at all. But doesn't slip either.
Is the blower overheating first and then causing the engine
  to heat up?
Could be but the blower is hot but not burning to the touch.
Has the blower recently been rebuilt?
Was rebuilt by Geo. from Milford Ct. Ttalked to him tonite.
Sometimes if the end plate clearance is too small not only will you over heat
the
blower housing but you will also gall the end plates.
Do you run an oil cooler?
  No.
Just some questions that come to mind.
Thanks for the ideas Bob, tomorrow, next trick will be to fill the old girl up
with aviation fuel and see how she runs. Next will tinker with the timing,
and try a colder plug.
All else fails, gonna put the thing up for sale.
