The stranges thing about last nite hangout is that the Kids didn't
hangout there. There was two others that they liked better. One was
the round one like on the movie, I believe they called Bernards, it was
out of the city. Now it would have been down town. They told me "how
cool could you be driving around in dad's rambler."
Looks like there is statue of George Lucas down down now. It is at the
intersection of the cruise streets, 10th & 11th. He also said there
were no fights, gangs (other than the pharoh's a car club), or damage
done to any thing. Last time Modesto had a Graffiti Nite, the gangs
from Stockton, & Bay Area showed up. Cars were hurt as well as inocent
people and property. It was decided "No more." What a shame a small
few had to ruin it for everyone. They did try it again two years later
but the same thing happened.
