OK...here we go...

My midget developed what seemed to be a vacuum leak (won't idle, runs
rough). I took off the carb, checked it over, adjusted it, re-tightened
my manifolds, replaced the carb base gasket, re-installed the carb...it
worked fine for 2 days.

Last night I stopped off for a few minutes at my parents' house...went back
out to the car and the starter just barely turned over (this is a new
problem it has developed)...I waited a few minutes and it started right up.
Then at the end of the block it developed the original symptoms
again...started idling around 500RPM and running rough. I nursed it
home...by the time I got to my driveway (5 miles later) it wouldn't idle at
all. I left it at the bottom of my driveway for an hour. When I went back
out I started it up, and it ran fine, and idled fine.

What is going on?? Vacuum leak? Duff battery? Sun spots?

I had this online conversation with my mother this morning:
==============================
>How did you fix it last time?
Took it all apart and put it back together.

>It sounds like some connection is loose.
yes...the connection between a 30 year old MG and reliability!
==============================

Thanks
