Mag Wheel cleaner in the spray bottles is also a dilute phosphoric acid
solution--I find it works well at cleaning aluminum.  Spray, let it work into
a foam, then rinse.  The toilet bowl cleaner sounds like a good idea
too--probably a bit stronger and more aggressive.
