I faced the same problem with my MK1 hardtop. I was told to get some of
the 'flexable' fiberglass 'bondo' (as used on the Saturn or those GM
plastic panelled vans and use it to patch up the mess. First I was advised
to sand by hand and get the outer layer of stuff off, then cover over the
cracks. I am told that old fiberglass is a royal pain - pity poor Lotus
owners. I spend many many hours on this and have it looking OK. It is now
at the pint shop waiting a new coat of olde English white. Don't know how
this will work in the long run, but will keep all posted.

Is this for a mk1? I am still looking for the metal pieces that go between
the rear door and the hard top. Some DPO decided to cut them off flush!

Cheers,
Martyn
