Hi Mikkel,
I can't speak for everyone, but my hood was installed in early 1986 and it is
still in fine shape (except for the cat paw prints).  The MG was my only car
for two years after that until I bought both a Morris Minor and a truck.  It
was garaged when possible, but spent most days and quite a few nights
outside.  Happy motoring.
