Just a suggestion:

Before passing on a warning about a new virus, or a chain letter, or a
concern about some new infringement on the Internet, do a search on one
of the following two Web Sites:

http://www.datafellows.com/search.htm
http://www.itd.umich.edu/~wwwitd/virus-busters/search.html

These are both very up-to-date, relaible sources (there are others, but
these are the addresses I have on hand). If the warning is real, you'll
be better informed about it, and can point others to a good information
source. If it's a false report, you'll save us all a bunch of
bandwidth.

I hesitate to say this, but pass this information on.
