Patton,

Your biggest problem will be reusing the clips that "clamp" the leaves
together. Considering that you springs have broken leaves, chances are that
the clips wil break when opening them or trying to re-bend the tangs. I'm
not sure it's even a good idea to re-use these. You'll probably (at least)
need to invest in a new set of clips.
