I have put 1275 dizzys into 1500 motors more then once.
The advace curve of the 1500 dizzy is something like 23*, the 1275
ranges from 10 to 18 depending on year. Maybe this is the reason for the
vacuum retard. I don't know for sure.
And yes the vacuum advace cans are an easy swap.
