I found the problem. There is a thin cloth covered wire that runs from the point post to the terminal on the side of the distributor (-ve coil). This wire was very saggy so I swapped it for one off a spare diz....and vvroom! It must have been hanging on by a single strand which gave out when I was fiddling about in there... Andy |
