Blasting the answer to the list, there seems to be an interest....

The GSL-SE (1984-1985) was the only model of the first gen rx7 to have LSD
and rear disc's. Later models (1986+) went to a 5 bolt pattern and the
brakes will not fit under 13" rims.

The bolt pattern of the 1st gen is 4 x 100mm, I'm planing on running Miata
rims on Frankensprite and changing the front hubs when I finish them to the
same pattern.

No engine in Frankensprite yet, it sits with full cage, and some body work
still away from paint.

Certianly it was a cheaper solution to get lsd and discs combined with
stronger axles than going with the "race bmc" route.
