King pin thread?.... hmmmm, probably the fulcrum pin thread(s)
actually.
But, ascertain that it is the fulcrum pin or king pin. Fulcrum pin repair
can get involved... pro fisherman David C explained that (though new a
frames are available as well). Vertical king pin movement is possible.
There are shims atop the step on the king pin as well as a bronze washer
inside the trunion. I suppose they could wear or have been missing or?....
Not very common, but easily remedied. Take a look at the M*** catalog for
assessing front end play... pretty good diagnostic tips there.
