I just went through this exercise myself.  The bolt is 1 5/16ths".  The largest
half inch drive socket I could find is 1 1/4".  Argh.  The guy at my local
hardware store "rented" me a 3/4" drive socket and 3/4" to 1/2" adapter for $2.
