Brad:

I think your idea is a good one, from a consumer standpoint. From a
publisher's standpoint, you would need someone willing to put that much time
(and it is a lot) into the editing, set-up, printing, addressing, and mailing
of such a magazine. Plus the capital to purchase a computer program that
will do multiple page booklets or magazines--all the while assuming he/she
has a computer, scanner, and printing connections to get it printed. It
would be, in short, a big job. Yes, I do write--not professionally, mind
you, but I am far from the publishing side of the art.

Personally, I am a member of Austin Healey Club of America, through my local
chapter, the Smoky Mountain Austin Healey Club. I have never felt "outside"
the flock, even though I don't even drive a Healey Marque. I once led one of
our monthly drives, as Drive Captain, in my Midget, with the big Healeys and
Sprite (there was one) following. One of our active clubmembers, Gary
Lownsdale, has just been elected President-Elect of the AHCA. He races
Sprites and loves the little LBCs, as well as owning Big Healeys as well. I
expect to see a much greater emphasis on the Sprite under Gary's leadership
of the national organization. So maybe that is worth a looksee.

Bottom line--I would like to see a magazine devoted to Spridgets--I would
certainly subscribe! But it would take a person with a lot of time on their
hands and a willingness to take a financial risk. Question arising from one
of the previous posts: Apparently Rick Moses is set up to publish this type
of thing. How about contacting him to see if he would like to revive and
expand the publication into a magazine?
