David,

You've raised an interesting point. This is not a California car. It was
originally purchased in Florida (I have the original '75 Florida plate) and
brought into California in '76. No Catalytic Converter, just exhaust pipe
and two mufflers at the rear.

Tell me more about the smog process to which you are referring.
