I'm not a metallurgist nor have I ever played one on TV, But I would be
concerned about this because I think the shock arm is a cast piece. I don't
know what cutting and treading the end of it would do to it. I would think
about a new arm machined.

Has anyone out there in spridgetland ever modified the
end of a front shock arm to accept rod end bearing
(Heim Joint) to allow lengthening or shortening the
arm for desired camber setting. I talked to Winner's
Circle yesterday and they talked of doing this, but
did not have the details. They thought you would cut
it off at some point, drill and tap, and thread in the
rod end.
