A few years ago I went to Chicago to try to convince an ex girlfriend
to "undump me". It was AM rush hour on a multilane, moving slowly,
with brief, fast leaps to the next panic stop (I was in a old
beatle...all stops were panic). EVERYONE around me had a paperback
book nestled in the horn ring, and all were reading intently! I never
saw anyone look up. Do they still do that in Chicago? Amazing. (BTW
she chose not to undump me. Silly girl, she couldda been ex wife
number three by now.)
