Bugeye Bonnet

Last question of the night - I promise!

I have various bonnets but the one that is in the best cosmetic shape
has a problem - the panel attached to the edge of the bonnet to which
the hinges are attached has 'sprung' away from the bonnet in several
areas.  Can this be easily fixed?  Is it a sign of larger problems?
